What you'll be doing?
- Lead the mobile development team, specializing in React Native, Expo, and Redux, ensuring high-quality and scalable mobile applications
- Maintain and work on web projects based on React and other modern Javascript frameworks
- Oversee the mobile team’s PR reviews, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to best practices
- Design and implement end-to-end system architecture, including backend API integration and database management
- Identify areas for improvement in existing mobile applications and actualize the same
- Ensure mobile platforms are up and bug-free 24x7
- Review and recommend refactoring legacy code where it makes sense to do so
- Collaborate with backend & frontend developers, UI/UX designers, tech leads, product & engineering managers to maintain an efficient and healthy line of project execution and overall direction
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager and Tech Lead to counsel on project and resource planning for the Software Team
- Obsess with the quality of what you and your team work on, ensuring the highest standards of code and product performance
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years hands-on experience in mobile development using React Native, Expo, and Redux
- Hungry-to-learn-and-grow-mindset
- Prior experience leading a team and overseeing PR reviews
- Experience with web technologies such as NextJS (brownie points)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end system design and backend API knowledge
- Version control with Git/GitHub
- Knowledge of platforms such as AWS, Heroku (brownie)
- Knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL in particular
- Excellent interpersonal, strong organizational, and communication skills
- Strong sense of responsibility and self-motivated team player
- Immediately available is preferred
